Shin carded a three-under 69, bouncing back from a pair of bogeys with three birdies in her last six holes. She rallied to tie Wie at 10-under 206 and the two women shared a four-shot lead over defending champion Suzann Pettersen and two other players.
Wie is seeking her second career win after finally breaking through for No. 1 last season. Shin has seven career victories, including last month's Evian Masters, and has been the No. 1 player in the world rankings several times this season.
